Uganda Lodge is a non-profit Guest House in SW Uganda, and volunteers and visitors staying in this accommodation will be benefiting and helping to educate the local community in many varied ways.
Volunteers of any age, including seniors or mature teenagers, can stay for a few days or a few months and its also suitable for families wanting their children to experience another culture and way of life. No specific skills or qualifications are needed as anyone with a western education will be of help.
The area is in the foothills of the south-western mountain range and there are many beautiful walks in the surrounding area. Further afield you can find lakes, hot springs, country markets, boat trips and safaris to view many large game animals.
Uganda Lodge is an affordable place for volunteers to stay as we only charge £50 per week for all food and accommodation in individual bandas. We are ideally situated on the main Mbarara-Kabale road and if you do not have your own transport a bus from Kampala will drop you off right outside the gates.
